🤝 Maureen Fisher-Sim
Maureen Fisher-Sim was named Cockburn Community Citizen of the Year in 2025 after decades of local volunteering. Through Friends of the Community, her work helped support causes ranging from meals for people experiencing homelessness to children's medicines, scholarships and junior sport. Her family association with community life reaches back to her great-grandmother Maud Mary Winfield's involvement in creating Hamilton Hill Memorial Hall. The award recognised Fisher-Sim's own sustained contribution: connecting people and directing practical help towards needs across the municipality.
